So I totally did NOT know that you could look up a specific Walgreen's store inventory via their website. You simply search for what you are looking for then click on a link underneath the product which states "Find at Your Local Walgreens" and then search via your ZIP code.
This would have come in handy last week while trying to find the Clean & Clear :) Supposedly the Walgreens near my husband's gun range has some in stock. I figured some might be hiding stock in the backroom, lol.

Walgreens 5/08
Walgreens has Clean & Clear bodywash on sale for $5.99 and also as a buy one get one free deal. Carefree pantyliners are also on sale for $.99 each. Now there is a coupon out as well for buy one get one free on the Clean & Clear bodywashes! From what people report it seems like it is a "your mileage may vary" on whether or not your Walgreens will accept it, AS WELL AS if your Walgreens will even have it on the shelf! Apparently I don't live by shelf-clearers, because I never really have a problem finding what I want to purchase. Anyhoo, I made sure (at the beauty counter) that it was OK by the manager to use this coupon in conjunction with the sale to get two free bottles, and they said yes (this was at a very coupon-friendly store in my opinion, but it is also on my way to work hence a bit out of the way for me).
1 [blue bottle] Clean & Clear bodywash $5.99
1 [orange bottle] Clean & Clear bodywash $5.99
1 Carefree pantyliners $.99
1 20oz Diet Coke pop $1.69
-$5.99 Walgreens b1g1 free sale Clean & Clear
-$5.99 Clean & Clear B1G1 FREE 3/27 SS
-$.99 Carefree 5/08 SS
Total: $2.30 ($1.69 + tax)
Since I scored a few inserts at work for free, I'll be able to get about 8 more of the Carefree pantyliners, and I have two more of the b1g1 free Clean & Clear coupons. I am planning on going to Walmart tomorrow to try the price-matching thing, for funsies.
We [husband and I] also had another transaction at a different Walgreens and I was able to get another Gilette Fusion Proglide razor using a $4/1 mfr coupon and $5 in RR's I had. So now I have 2 $5 RR's from P&G. Not sure if I will try to save them for next week or just purchase something we need from Walgreens (like more toilet paper!).

Walgreens 5/07
This Coupon Ninja didn't do as well as she had hoped for her Walgreens shopping for the week.
I originally wanted to wake up earlier and hit a few different Walgreens to use up the coupons I had, however, it just wasn't ment to be. I did stop at one however and I remembered that we needed toilet paper, so that is why my out of pocket expense was higher for this trip. That's OK though, because I received $10 in Register Rewards back. No pictures either, sorry :) I had to rush to get ready for work after I got home from the store.
2x Cottonelle 12ct TP $5.00 each
1 Bic Soleil razors $5.99
1 Gilette Fusion ProGlide razor $9.89
3x Sctoch magic tape $1.29 each (filler, for 7 MFR coupons total)
-$2.70/3 Scotch tape in-ad coupon
-$2.00/2 Cottonelle Walgreens monthly booklet
-$4.00/1 Gilette Fusion ProGlide 5/01 P&G
-$3.00/1 BIC Soleil 5/01 SS
-$2.00 RR from last transaction's Right Guard
-$2.00 RR from last transaction's GUM-eeze
-$3.00 RR from last transaction's Noxzema
TOTAL: $12.94 ($11.05 + tax)
Received a $3 RR from Cottonelle (TP), a $2 RR from BIC (razors), and a $5 from P&G (ProGlide). Yeah, it wasn't exactly a low OOP cost, but that's ok. We didn't have but three or so rolls of toilet paper in the house, and still, $13 or so for all that is an excellent price.
Which actually kinda sucks that I didn't get to roll them on anything else for this week's sales; the next week does not look promising. The only thing I am going to try at Walgreens, I believe, is using the Clean & Clear b1g1 free sale in conjunction with the b1g1 free coupon. I am also going to try to price match at Walmart for the same thing, as they should allow it (as per their own coupon policy on price matching).

What can I get for about $5 from Walgreens? Walmart, CVS transactions as well.
I did not get to go Walgreens hopping as I planned to today, but I did hit two for two transactions so I was rather happy about that. CVS was out of the one item I wanted to get (BIC Soleil Shimmer razor) so I got a raincheck for it.
For my first transaction, I already had a $3 RR and a $4 RR on hand. The $4 was from Splenda last week and the $3 was from Noxema razors from this week.
(filler) means I didn't necessarily need the item, but I got it as it was very, very cheap and the item was needed to make the transaction go through. Walgreen's coupon policy is that the number of coupons you have (including Register Rewards, which are mfr coupons) must match the number of items in your order.

Though Walmart did not have advertisement signs up on the shelf, both the men's and women's Nivea bodywashes were ringing up $3, which I found out from others online. Since I had 6 of each coupon, I decided to go to Walmart! I usually avoid the store, but free is free.

Walgreens, CVS, Other Stores (for tomorrow - 05/05)
Since I have nothing going on tomorrow and my husband will be at work, I am going to hop around some stores seeing what I can score for free or relatively cheap since I was already planning on going to Menards for garden soil (finally going to create my above-ground planter!). I scored a kit for an above-ground planter for $10 from Walmart. It is circular, but it was cheap and if I don't end up liking gardening outside, I won't feel bad and it will be easy to take down/get rid of. All I need to purchase is soil from Menards (or similar).
I have $3 in ECB's for CVS and a $3 & a $4 Register Reward to work with at Walgreens.
Here are the things I am planning on obtaining this week from Walgreens. I have 3 to 4 coupons for each item listed. Not quite sure at the moment how I will flip RR's to the next transaction.
Noxema razors 4ct $3.99
use $2/1 Noxema razors mfr 5/01 RP receive $3 Register Reward (RR)
Gilette Fusion ProGlide Razor system $9.99
use $4/1 5/01 Gilette Fusion ProGlide Razor mfr P&G Brandsaver Get $5 RR

use $3/1 Bic (mens listed) or $3/1 Bic Soleil razors mfr 4/10 SS Get $2 RR
GUM Eez-thru Flossers 75/90ct $2.00 Get $2 RR
Possible fillers and/or items to pick up because they are free or extremely cheap:
Right Guard Bodywash are Buy One, Get One Free (B1G1FREE)
use b1g1free Dry Idea or Right Guard Product mfr 5/01 RP
walgreens will either give them both to me for free, or tell me I must actually purchase one bottle and get two for free. I've encountered both situations before and have been both allowed and denied to purchase items this way. I know, crazy. We'll see how it goes!
There is also a sale on Right Guard/Dry Idea deodorants for $2.99 Get $2 RR
use b1g1free Dry Idea or Right Guard Product mfr 5/01 RP
Possible fillers in case they are needed:
Comet Cleanser 2/$1

SHAVING RAZORS!
Not that this Coupon Ninja needs any more razors, however, due to Summer being just around the corner, razors and other Summer items will be on sale & have coupons in the next few months.
I still had one $2/1 Noxema coupon from a package leftover from LAST summer; I used this with the deal that Walgreens has going on this week. It is a moneymaker after factoring in the Register Reward you gain just by buying it.
Noxzema Disposable Razors 4ct $3.99
$3.00RR on 1
$2.00/1 5/1RP (or the $2/1 mfr coupon found in the package, as I used)
Final price: $1.99 OOP + tax + $3 RR gained
I actually had a $3 Register Reward from the Stayfree from last week, and I also got two packages of the 6 oz Blue Diamond Almonds, because I saw they were on sale for $3.99 AND they are b1g1 free (I like the Habanero BBQ flavor, but I also got regular Almonds).
Blue Diamond Almonds $3.99
Blue Diamond Almonds $0.00
Butterfinger 3.5oz (yeah, bad for Paleo...) $.99
Noxema Razors $3.99
-$.60/2 Blue Diamond peelie found on package
-$2/1 Noxema found in package
-$3 Register Reward from Stayfree
Total was $2.98 ($3.33 with tax)
Received a $3.00 Register Reward back from Noxema. Receipt says I saved $11.68.
I have four more Noxema coupons from my inserts, which I think I might just use the RR's gained from them to purchase more Almonds. There didn't SEEM to be anything I'd care to roll RR's between; but I need to take a closer look at what's on sale as well.

Walgreens 04/25 trip
I have to say, that I don't shop much at Walgreens or CVS anymore. It's not because I hate the stores, but because I have everything stockpiled that we might need in the near (and sometimes, far!) future. I will admit, I did go a little crazy with couponing when I first started out. I got loads of toothpaste, bodywash, shampoo, and other such health & beauty items for free or really cheap. Don't get me wrong, I could still continue to do the deals, but why? In my state (Indiana), we still have to pay the tax on the total before coupons, and that can add up to a good chunk of change per month. So now, I only go when there is stuff to make money on that I KNOW I or someone I know will use.
I did go to CVS and two Walgreens last night. I went in search of the Revlon cream blush that I mentioned in my previous post. Sadly, neither CVS nor the first Walgreens carried the entire line -- as luck would have it, I had the forethought to bring my 3g iPad with me. Through a search, I found out that those particular cream blushes were discontinued :( However, I did find a website that gave a recommendation for a similar colored product.
Since I was on the lookout specifically for makeup for Rocky Horror, I don't mind spending a bit of money on it. However, I always try to buy with coupons nowadays.
CVS
2 Fuze $.99 each
1 Physicians Formula Blush $11.49
1 Reeses Pieces (because I was fiending...) $.99
-$2.50 ECB about to expire
-$2.00 ECB from winter spending
-$1/2 Fuze manufacturer coupon 04/10/2011 SS
-$1/1 Physician's Formula makeup 03/20/2011 SS (alas, not one of the lucky ones to get $5/1)
Total after taxes was $8.83, and I got a $3 ECB back as well as a "25% OFF your total purchase! 3 days only!" It doesn't look very good though, the first thing it says is "Excludes sale & promotional items, prescriptions, blah blah blah." I guess it is sort of a "make your own sale" type of coupon.
Walgreens
The first Walgreens I went to did not have the Splenda, so I picked up a package of Stayfree maxi pads, on sale for $2.99, with $2.99 (or $3) back as a Register Reward.
1 Stayfree 14ct $2.99
-$1/1 Stayfree 03/27/2011 RP
Total was $2.20, so I "technically" made $.80.

Makeup
So, in all my couponing-career I've never actually set my sights on makeup, though I do use it a lot. On A Full Cup's forums, there seem to be a number of people who get their makeup free and have pretty large mini-stockpiles of the stuff! I guess I'm still a nub when it comes to coupons and makeup? Either way, I just watched a faaabulous Frank-N-Furter makeup tutorial on Youtube, and I want to get a particular type of Revlon blush recommended in the video.
[As a side note, if you don't know this about me, I perform as the Doctor with my Rocky Horror Picture Show cast, Help Me Mommy, in NWI. The blush I want is called "Not So Nude"].
For the week of 04/24-04/30, Walgreens happens to have Revlon products on sale for buy one, get one 50% off. Unfortunately, it figures that the one coupon I could use for this coupon was in an insert I only got one copy of for the week -- 04/10/2011 SS. It states "Revlon ColorStay Mineral Makeup or Revlon Face Product, any" and its value is $2/1.
In fact, I also took that coupon with me to Atlantic City for the con/vacation, in case I couponed out at a Rite Aid (which I did!). Alas, I do not know where that solitary coupon is anyways, but I also wouldn't want to use just one, because I would want to use two to maximize my savings of course! As luck would have it, I am trading coupons with a very nice person I've traded with before, so hopefully I can get them before the week is out.

So there is an updated picture of my pumpkin plant; this was taken just this morning. I'm hoping to have time during my two days off of work (Saturday afternoon, all of Sunday and Monday) to do this building of a raised garden bed outside. However, it rained last night, and I'm sure it is supposed to be rainy for the next few days. At least it is going to be warmer! I'm actually all for winter, but I am ready for it to go away now.
Also, know how I started that new seed flat? Well, I came home [late] last night and before going to bed I peeked at it -- and guess which seeds sprouted first?
Yeah, the Arugula O_o 5 out of 6 of the seeds I planted were sprouted and bending towards the lights, so I took out the empty seed trays and sort of placed them all in the middle of the tray. Two Arugula "seedlings" have also sprouted in the original peat pot I planted them in, in the original tray of plants.
I am thinking of checking out A Full Cup's Walgreen's forum to see what I can get there to earn some Register Rewards and get back in the game, as it were. There is also a CVS near me, but their deals always seem lacking, and when they do have good deals, you can be sure they are always out, as CVS is no where near prevalent in this area like Walgreens is. I have three Walgreens in less than a mile or just within one, of my house!
I've also got to cut my coupons out...I'm a big proponent of having coupons clipped and put into a binder, that way I can always have them with me. However, I stopped sometime in early January. I still have them organized by week, but it is a daunting task, to get back into clipping all the coupons again. I'm VERY glad that I did not take them to work with me; I had totally forgotten that this weekend was Easter, and my trains were BUSY!
