What can I get for about $5 from Walgreens? Walmart, CVS transactions as well.

I did not get to go Walgreens hopping as I planned to today, but I did hit two for two transactions so I was rather happy about that. CVS was out of the one item I wanted to get (BIC Soleil Shimmer razor) so I got a raincheck for it.

For my first transaction, I already had a $3 RR and a $4 RR on hand. The $4 was from Splenda last week and the $3 was from Noxema razors from this week.

(filler) means I didn't necessarily need the item, but I got it as it was very, very cheap and the item was needed to make the transaction go through. Walgreen's coupon policy is that the number of coupons you have (including Register Rewards, which are mfr coupons) must match the number of items in your order.

Walgreens Transaction #1:

BIC Soleil Razors $5.99
Gilette Fusion ProGlide Razor $9.89
(filler) Scotch Tape $1.29

Right Guard Deodorant $2.99
(filler) Toilet Bowl cleanerbobber $.99

Total: $1.79 ($.86 plus tax)
Received a $3 RR from Noxzema, a $2 RR from GUM and a $2 from Right Guard.

Walmart Transaction!

Though Walmart did not have advertisement signs up on the shelf, both the men's and women's Nivea bodywashes were ringing up $3, which I found out from others online. Since I had 6 of each coupon, I decided to go to Walmart! I usually avoid the store, but free is free.

4x Ivory 3pk Bar soap @ $.97 each
6x Nivea for Men @ $3 each
6x Nivea for Women @ $3 each
Germ-X hand sanitizer $.97
3x Ferry Morse seeds @ $1.00 each
Seed packet $.60
-$1.00/1 Ivory soap 5/01 P&G x4
-$3/1 Nivea for Men 4/17 RP
x6
-$3/1 Nivea for Women 4/17 RP x6
Total: $7.35 ($4.35 plus tax)

Of course, then I went to Aldi and spent near-on $46 for food, but that's life.

Walgreens, CVS, Other Stores (for tomorrow - 05/05)

Since I have nothing going on tomorrow and my husband will be at work, I am going to hop around some stores seeing what I can score for free or relatively cheap since I was already planning on going to Menards for garden soil (finally going to create my above-ground planter!). I scored a kit for an above-ground planter for $10 from Walmart. It is circular, but it was cheap and if I don't end up liking gardening outside, I won't feel bad and it will be easy to take down/get rid of. All I need to purchase is soil from Menards (or similar).

I have $3 in ECB's for CVS and a $3 & a $4 Register Reward to work with at Walgreens.

Here are the things I am planning on obtaining this week from Walgreens. I have 3 to 4 coupons for each item listed. Not quite sure at the moment how I will flip RR's to the next transaction.

Noxema razors 4ct $3.99
use $2/1 Noxema razors mfr 5/01 RP receive $3 Register Reward (RR)

Gilette Fusion ProGlide Razor system $9.99
use $4/1 5/01 Gilette Fusion ProGlide Razor mfr P&G Brandsaver Get $5 RR

Bic razors $5.99
use $3/1 Bic (mens listed) or $3/1 Bic Soleil razors mfr 4/10 SS Get $2 RR

GUM Eez-thru Flossers 75/90ct $2.00 Get $2 RR

Possible fillers and/or items to pick up because they are free or extremely cheap:

Right Guard Bodywash are Buy One, Get One Free (B1G1FREE)
use b1g1free Dry Idea or Right Guard Product mfr 5/01 RP
walgreens will either give them both to me for free, or tell me I must actually purchase one bottle and get two for free. I've encountered both situations before and have been both allowed and denied to purchase items this way. I know, crazy. We'll see how it goes!

There
is also a sale on Right Guard/Dry Idea deodorants for $2.99 Get $2 RR
use b1g1free Dry Idea or Right Guard Product mfr 5/01 RP

Possible fillers in case they are needed:

Comet Cleanser 2/$1
use $.35/1 4/10 SS (if coupon is for correct product, I'm not sure?)

Toilet bowl cleaner $.39 with in ad coupon

Scotch Tape/Mailers $.39 with in ad coupon

Salt or Baking Soda 2/$1 with in ad coupon

Speedstick/Lady Speedstick $2.99 B1G1 Free
use 2x $.50/1 Lady Speedstick 5/01 SS (only if they have good scents - not sure what is available)

CVS will be much easier!

I want to get the BIC Soleil Shimmer Razor $6.99 get $3 ECB
use $3/1 SS 5/01 coupon
use $3 ECB I already have

Nestle candy bars are $2/1
use $.50/2 SS 5/01

Walmart will be interesting....I hate Walmart. lol

Ivory Bar Soap 3 Packs $.97
use $1/1 5/01 P&G

Nivea Body Wash $3
use $3/1 04/17 RP

Walgreens 04/25 trip

I have to say, that I don't shop much at Walgreens or CVS anymore. It's not because I hate the stores, but because I have everything stockpiled that we might need in the near (and sometimes, far!) future. I will admit, I did go a little crazy with couponing when I first started out. I got loads of toothpaste, bodywash, shampoo, and other such health & beauty items for free or really cheap. Don't get me wrong, I could still continue to do the deals, but why? In my state (Indiana), we still have to pay the tax on the total before coupons, and that can add up to a good chunk of change per month. So now, I only go when there is stuff to make money on that I KNOW I or someone I know will use.

I did go to CVS and two Walgreens last night. I went in search of the Revlon cream blush that I mentioned in my previous post. Sadly, neither CVS nor the first Walgreens carried the entire line -- as luck would have it, I had the forethought to bring my 3g iPad with me. Through a search, I found out that those particular cream blushes were discontinued :( However, I did find a website that gave a recommendation for a similar colored product.

Since I was on the lookout specifically for makeup for Rocky Horror, I don't mind spending a bit of money on it. However, I always try to buy with coupons nowadays.

CVS
2 Fuze $.99 each
1 Physicians Formula Blush $11.49
1 Reeses Pieces (because I was fiending...) $.99

-$2.50 ECB about to expire
-$2.00 ECB from winter spending
-$1/2 Fuze manufacturer coupon 04/10/2011 SS
-$1/1 Physician's Formula makeup 03/20/2011 SS (alas, not one of the lucky ones to get $5/1)

Total after taxes was $8.83, and I got a $3 ECB back as well as a "25% OFF your total purchase! 3 days only!" It doesn't look very good though, the first thing it says is "Excludes sale & promotional items, prescriptions, blah blah blah." I guess it is sort of a "make your own sale" type of coupon.

Walgreens

The first Walgreens I went to did not have the Splenda, so I picked up a package of Stayfree maxi pads, on sale for $2.99, with $2.99 (or $3) back as a Register Reward.

1 Stayfree 14ct $2.99

-$1/1 Stayfree 03/27/2011 RP

Total was $2.20, so I "technically" made $.80.
